Following her win at the Chevron Championship, Korda jumped into a lake on the 18th hole of The Club at Carlton Woods, joined by other officials cheering her on.

The LPGA Tour shared a video of the golfer on its X (formerly Twitter) account with the caption:

Nelly Korda won her first major in 2021 at the Women’s PGA Championship, followed by another at the 2024 Chevron Championship. “It’s trending in the right direction”- Nelly Korda on winning the Chevron Championship 2024

Korda began smoothly with a round of 68 on the first day of the 2024 Chevron Championship. As the expert favorite for the week after her back-to-back wins, she continued her strong performance with rounds of 69 on Friday and Saturday. In the final round, she once again carded a 69 to claim the prestigious trophy and a prize of $1.2 million.

Following her victory, Nelly Korda opened up about her win in an interview with the media and spoke about how the game was going in the right direction.

Korda said (via LPGA Tour):

“It’s trending in the right direction, not just American golf but women’s golf in general. I think you see the past couple of major winners, Allisen (Corpuz) won at the U.S. Open and Lilia (Vu) won here last year. I think we’re just performing really well, and I think that’s everyone on Tour, honestly.”

“It’s so hard to win out here, and I say that with all honesty that it is really, really hard to win out here,” she added. “The competition is getting harder and harder every year.”

Maja Stark secured solo second place at the Chevron Championship, followed by Lauren Coughlin and Brooke M. Henderson, sharing third place at 10 under. Hae Ran Ryu finished in fifth place with 9 under, followed by Spanish golfer Carlota Ciganda.
