With Spain winning the Euros and Carlos Alcaraz taking home the Wimbledon title, Spain’s athletes have been flourishing worldwide this week. Sergio Garcia displayed great patriotism at the 2024 LIV Golf Invitational in Andalucia this week by interacting with fans in his home country and sporting the country’s signature yellow and red colors during the last round.

“I might be wrong, but I think that if the soccer team wins tonight, it could be probably one of the biggest days in the history of Spanish sports. I would say: Alcaraz winning, us winning both individually and as a team, and then the national team winning the Euro Cup. It would be amazing to have all those four things happen in the same day. It would be amazing.”

Since joining LIV Golf in 2022, Sergio Garcia has become a sensation among the fans. The Fireballs GC Captain has played in 10 events in the Saudi-based league so far.
Apart from his win this week at the LIV Golf Invitational in Andalucia, he recorded his best finish of the season at the season-opening event in Mayakoba. He finished in second place and earned 30 points. He went on to match this finish at the tournament in Miami a few weeks later.
The Spaniard recorded his worst finish of the year so far at the Adelaide edition of the league. The 40th-place finish saw Garcia going home with zero points. Sergio Garcia has earned zero points in three of his starts – Las Vegas, Adelaide, and Hong Kong.
