Scottie Scheffler isn’t playing the 2024 Rocket Mortgage Classic. 156 players will be playing in this year’s tournament but Scheffler doesn’t appear in the field listed for the tournament.

The event is scheduled for 27 to 30 June at Detroit Golf Club in Detroit, Michigan.

Scheffler recently won the 2024 Travelers Championship, the last signature event of the year at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut. It was his sixth title of the year. He won a pay cheque of $3.6 million and 700 FedExCup points.

Although the golfer hasn’t made the reason for his absence public, it’s believed that he has decided to rest after major events in the last few weeks.

Scottie Scheffler has won $27,696,858 this year in all the events with $16,988,000 in solely the signature events. After two signature events, the 2024 Memorial Tournament and the 2024 Travelers Championship, and a Major, US Open 2024, top golfers have taken time off the course for the Rocket Mortgage Classic 2024.

The Field for Rocket Mortgage Classic 2024
Top players such as Tiger Woods, Scottie Scheffler, Rory Mcllroy, Xander Schauffele, Ludvig Aberg, and Wyndham Clark are absent from the 2024 Rocket Mortgage Classic lineup. Instead, the list includes OWFR top rankers Tom Kim, Akshay Bhatia, and Cameron Young in the field at Michigan.

In 2023, Rickie Fowler clinched victory at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in a playoff against Collin Morikawa and Adam Hadwin and he’ll return to the tournament to defend his title.

The prize money at the Rocket Mortgage Classic is also almost half of the total prize money of the last few PGA Tour events. It’s $9.2 million and the winner will take home $$1.656 million.
