In the second round, he scored seven birdies, one eagle, and one bogey to finish at 62. His total stands at 14-under and he’s two shots ahead of Richard Bland.

After the round, in a press conference, Rahm talked about the freedom he got in the LIV schedule as compared to a hectic PGA Tour routine. Jon Rahm also talked about how adjusting to the LIV schedule wasn’t a big deal for the golfer.

“Nothing surprising cause having committed to LIV early December I had two months to ask questions and get ready for it, so I wouldn’t say anything was was shocking. It was I think the biggest challenge for me was going to be the schedule change but that’s something you can get used to it’s not a big deal,” Jon Rahm said (via the TenGolf Youtube channel, 5:31–5:48).

He continued:

“I actually enjoy have being given the schedule. Right, this is the tournaments this is what you play and that’s it instead of having to figure out a schedule throughout the year based on tournaments and what I want to play and what courses I know and I do not know. So there’s an element of freedom when it comes to that I don’t mind.”
He added:

“But I wouldn’t say there was anything that was surprising I think I got my expectations pretty on point with what I needed to what I would hope or thought what LIV golf would be like.” ( 5:48-6:21)

Jon Rahm joined LIV Golf last year in December and started his team called the Legion XIII in the LIV league.
