Greg Norman names surprising LIV Golf star he thinks has been better than Tiger Woods
Tiger Woods is in many people’s eyes the greatest golf player of all time but the but Greg Norman shared a different point of view about one of his LIV Golf players
LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman has blasted Tiger Woods and claimed Talor Gooch is the best iron player of the past two decades.
The American tennis player expressed his support for the 32-year-old – who did not compete at the recent Masters. During an appearance on the LIV Golf broadcast of their Miami tournament, Norman gave Gooch a very high compliment.
“Talor Gooch is the best iron player in the golf game in the last 20 years that I have personally seen,” he said. “I just love watching him. His iron play is very precise. This caused controversy as shocked fans shared their answers in the comments section and one name kept popping up. “Tiger might like a word,” one person posted.
“Everyone knows Tiger is the best in history,” the fan said while another added: “Tiger Woods has heard of him.” One user joked: “He must have never seen Tiger play golf,” while another wrote: “Tiger: “Hold my beer.” Woods is considered by many to be the greatest golfer of all time. He has 15 majors to his name, the most recent of which was The Masters in 2019.

Commenting on his reasons for hiring Bennet in February, Woods said: “As for Lance, I’ve had a great relationship with him over the years since he caddied for Kuch and when we played together at Presidents Cup. in, what, Muirfield Village.
“For all the years we went to the Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup together and the times I got to play with him in the same group. Very down to earth, very loyal and the way he’s talked over the years, I’ve noticed that too.
“We have the same feel for the way we see the golf course and the way we read the shot, they’re very similar. I think we’re going to be a great team and look forward to the challenge.”
