Adam Scott, who made a stunning jump of 12 positions on the leaderboard at the 2024 Genesis Scottish Open, praised Robert MacIntyre for his impressive performance this week. Both Scott and MacIntyre are contenders for their first Scottish Open victory.
Following the third round, MacIntyre settled into second place while Scott secured third. They both displayed strong play during the third round of the event. After the tournament, Adam Scott spoke about MacIntyre’s game and praised the Scottish golfer.
“Yeah, it was great. Bob’s (Robert MacIntyre) playing great and he’s the hero. On form at the moment, up here. And playing golf some Scotland is fantastic anyway,” Scott said (via Asap Sports).

“Loved it my whole career but playing with Bob today was really special, and trying to hang on to his coattails while he was running hot was good fun. I really enjoyed today,” he added.
Notably, Robert MacIntyre was the runner-up at the 2023 Genesis Scottish Open, where Rory McIlroy triumphed. The 27-year-old has performed well this season on the PGA Tour and has a good chance to win this week.
Meanwhile, Adam Scott also aims to win the event ahead of the upcoming Major at Royal Troon. The Australian golfer has participated in 14 events this season and has recorded one top-10 finish. He also has a decent chance to clinch victory on Sunday, July 14.
Adam Scott and Robert MacIntyre’s odd to win 2024 Genesis Scottish Open
According to BetMGM Sportsbook, Robert MacIntyre is favored to win the 2024 Genesis Scottish Open on Sunday with odds of +500, while Adam Scott follows with odds of +1200. Meanwhile, Ludvig Aberg is the top favorite for the week, with odds of -150.

Heading into the final round, Ludvig Aberg leads the tournament by two strokes. He shot a 65 on Saturday to claim the top position on the leaderboard. Robert MacIntyre surged up 13 positions with an impressive round of 63, securing second place. His earlier rounds included scores of 67 and 65.
Adam Scott also performed well, shooting a 64 to jump 12 spots and securing third place, just one stroke behind MacIntyre. Scott posted scores of 67 and 65 in the first two rounds.
The final round is scheduled to begin at 4:14 a.m. ET on Sunday, July 14. However, Scott will tee off with Collin Morikawa at 10:29 a.m. Meanwhile, MacIntyre and Aberg will start their rounds together at 10:40 a.m. ET.
