The LPGA Tour is set to make a stop in New Jersey with the upcoming Cognizant Founders Cup. Scheduled from May 9 to 12, the event will unfold at the Upper Montclair Country Club in Clifton, New Jersey.

This tournament marks the seventh seasonal appearance for Roberta Liti as she continues her rookie season on the tour.

Nelly Korda, the current world number one, enters as the favorite with a nearly six-point lead over the second-ranked Lilia Vu, who will not be participating in this event. Korda is riding a high with victories in her last five starts, including her most recent triumph at a major tournament, The Chevron Championship.

Joining her will be seven other top-ten players from the Rolex Ranking. Among them is South Korea’s Jin Young Ko, ranked fifth and defending one of her fifteen titles. Also competing are France’s Celine Boutier (No.

3), China’s Ruoning Yin (No. 4), Canada’s Brooke M. Henderson (No. 6), Australians Hannah Green (No. 7) and Minjee Lee (No. 9), and New Zealand’s Lydia Ko (No. 10). The field also includes several other talented players who promise to enhance the competition’s excitement.

Names like Lexi Thompson, Megan Khang, Angel Yin, Rose Zhang, Marina Alex, Bailey Tardy, Japan’s Yuka Saso and Nasa Hataoka, Thailand’s Atthaya Thitikul, Ireland’s Leona Maguire, Sweden’s Linn Grant and Maja Stark, and Germany’s Esther Henseleit are all set to participate.

Additionally, Thailand’s Pajaree Anannarukarn and Ariya Jutanugarn, South Korea’s Sei Young Kim, England’s Georgia Hall, and India’s Aditi Ashok will add to the international flair. Roberta Liti has made the cut in four of her first six tournaments, finishing in the money in the last three—an encouraging sign as she navigates her first season on the LPGA Tour.

With a total purse of $3 million, the stakes are high as players compete for one of the most lucrative prizes in women’s golf.
