Pagdanganan, Ardina continue golf campaign; Vanessa Sarno aims for Olympic weightlifting medal
The Philippines’ campaign in the 2024 Paris Olympics continues on Friday.
At 3 p.m., golfers Bianca Pagdanganan and Dottie Ardina will continue their bid for a medal in women’s individual stroke, while weightlifter Vanessa Sarno will aim for a weightlifting medal when she steps on the stage on early Saturday.
Pagdanganan is currently at T6, while Ardina is at T36 in the golf leaderboard with the golf tournament to be held until Saturday.
Sarno, on the other hand, will compete in the women’s 71kg event at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday.
The weightlifters have not yet claimed a medal in the current Summer Games as John Ceniza registered a DNF in the men’s 61kg event, while Elreen Ando finished 6th in the women’s 59kg weight class.
