Rory McIlroy is making his second appearance at the Olympic Games this week.
With the third round of the men’s individual stroke play event in the books at the 2024 Paris Olympics, the Irishman will be eager to finish at the top of the podium.
Following a second round score of two under par 69, the four-time major winner stood tied for 13th place. The penultimate round of the prestigious event saw McIlroy card in an impress five under par 66.
The 35-year-old is now tied for sixth place with Scottie Scheffler, Tom Kim, and Thomas Detry. With a 54 hole score of ten under par 203, McIlroy will look to finish strong tomorrow to earn Ireland its maiden medal in Olympic golf history.
