Jon Rahm also reflected on whether his performance at Le Golf National has been different from what he has done throughout the season. This was part of what he said:

“I’ve been playing good all year, but I haven’t been able to give myself the best chances. For this last month, to be playing as good as I have, and slowly get better; the win last week, and give myself an opportunity this week, as well, is very, very gratifying.”
Jon Rahm is one of seven LIV Golf players competing at Paris 2024. Three of his colleagues are also in the top 25 (Joaquin Niemann T10, Carlos Ortiz T23, and David Puig T23).

Abraham Ancer is tied for 38th, while Adrian Meronk is tied for 50th. Mito Pereira rounds out the group on T55.

A look at Jon Rahm’s performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics golf tournament
Jon Rahm’s performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics event has improved as the tournament has progressed. The Spaniard started the tournament in impressive fashion with two eagles, four birdies, two bogeys, and one double bogey in the first round (4-under).

The second round was even better as he made only one bogey and six birdies. On Saturday, he matched the previous day’s score (66) with seven birdies and two bogeys.

His score after 54 holes is 14 under. He enters the final round tied for the lead with Xander Schauffele, and one stroke ahead of Tommy Fleetwood.

Rahm has played very accurately at Le Golf National, as evidenced by the fact that he leads the field in driving accuracy (80.95%) and greens in regulation (87.04%). This has allowed him to climb to the top of the leaderboard despite negative putting numbers.

The Paris Olympics will be Rahm’s debut at the event. The Spaniard had qualified to play in Tokyo 2021, but was forced to withdraw after contracting COVID 19.

However, it is his second experience of playing at Le Golf National, as the 2018 Ryder Cup was also held there, the first of Rahm’s career. In that event, the Spaniard got one point in three matches, but he achieved it by no less than defeating Tiger Woods in singles action.

Rahm has a long history of representing Spain, having played on six national teams as an amateur and at the 2016 World Cup as a professional.
