Xander Schauffele leads the PGA Tour power rankings ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics men’s golf individual stroke play event.
The event is scheduled from August 1 to 4, 2024, at Le Golf National in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France.
Schauffele comes to the Olympic Games after winning the Open Championship 2024 at Royal Troon. This will be the 30-year-old’s second appearance at the Olympics. He won the gold medal for Team USA at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Schauffele will return to the golf course after a week of rest following the Open Championship. In his last seven starts, the World No. 2 has two wins and seven top-15 finishes. Let’s take a look at his performances in 2024:

Scottie Scheffler, the World No. 1, is second on the power rankings list. he has six wins including a Major win this year. Scheffler won the 2024 Masters tournament at Augusta National by four strokes over Ludvig Aberg. The 28-year-old comes to the Paris Olympics after a T7 finish at the Open Championship.
Rory Mcllroy, the World No. 3 is third on the list. The Irish golfer is in great form with 12 top-25 finishes in the last 15 starts. He won the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship by five strokes over Schauffele. He finished fourth at the Tokyo Olympics, missing the bronze by a whisker.

Collin Morikawa, fourth on the power rankings list, is on a great run of form, with top-16 finishes in each of his 10 starts. He’s fourth in the FedExCup standings this year and will be looking to capitalize on his form coming into the Olympic Games.
Jon Rahm is fifth in the PGA Tour power rankings for the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Spaniard is coming off a win at the LIV Golf United Kingdom. He won by one shot over Joaquin Niemann, Cameron Smith, and Tyrrell Hatton.
Ludvig Aberg, sixth on the list, has shown immense potential this year. He has four top-5 and seven top-10 finishes this year.
Shane Lowry, seventh on the list, might have missed his chances at the Open Championship last week but has performed consistently well, with six top-10 finishes this year. English golfer Tommy Fleetwood has had a great 2024 season with three top-5 finishes and eight top-25 finishes this year.
